Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how imgtotable processes information when you visit the site or choose to use an image conversion, OCR, translation, or redaction tool. Different tools use different processing paths, so review the relevant tool page before you provide a file.

Information That May Be Processed

• Request and device information: hosting, security, advertising, and processing providers may receive an IP address, request time, requested URL, referrer, browser or device information, and diagnostic or security data when your browser connects to them.
• Files and tool input: a browser-local workflow keeps the selected source image in your browser. An AI workflow sends the file or recognized text described on that tool's page to the relevant processing service.
• Results: recognized text, table structure, formulas, diagram source, translations, or suggested redaction regions may be returned to the browser so you can review and export them.
• Contact information: if you email support or use the external contact form, imgtotable and the relevant email or form provider receive the information you voluntarily submit.

How the Tools Process Files

Browser-local tools

Local text OCR, local table recognition, background removal, image-to-PDF conversion, image cropping, and image format conversion process the selected source image in your browser. These workflows do not send that source image to an imgtotable recognition API.

Some local tools download model files or runtime assets from pinned external locations, including Paddle-hosted model files, jsDelivr, or Hugging Face. Those services receive normal network request information, such as your IP address and browser headers, but the selected source image is not included in the model download request. Model assets may be stored in the browser Cache API so they do not need to be downloaded again.

AI recognition tools

AI image-to-table, image-to-Markdown, image-to-formula, image-to-Mermaid, and image-to-Word workflows send the selected image over HTTPS through a Cloudflare Pages Function to the configured HunyuanOCR-compatible recognition service. The response is returned to your browser for review, editing, and export.

Image Translator

Image Translator sends the image for text and coordinate recognition. It then sends the recognized text and region identifiers—not the original image—to Google Gemini for translation, with DeepSeek used as a fallback when the primary provider is unavailable or returns an unusable response. Editing and reconstructed-image export occur in your browser.

Image Redactor

Image Redactor sends the image through a Cloudflare Function to a restricted FastAPI service that uses HunyuanOCR-compatible coordinate recognition and Microsoft Presidio analysis. Suggested regions are returned for your review. Moving or adding boxes and creating the final flattened PNG occur in your browser.

Do not upload a confidential image unless you are authorized to process it and accept the applicable external-provider handling. Crop or remove unrelated personal information first whenever practical.

Browser Storage, Cookies, and Advertising

Functional browser storage

imgtotable stores your light or dark theme preference in local storage. Browser-local OCR and background-removal tools may cache downloaded model and runtime files using the Cache API. Clearing site data in your browser removes these locally stored preferences and cached assets.

Google AdSense

The site includes a Google AdSense tag for site verification and, if the site is approved, advertising. Google and its advertising partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, receive IP addresses or other identifiers, and process browser, device, page-view, and ad-interaction information to provide, measure, protect, and personalize advertising where permitted.

Depending on your location and choices, Google may serve personalized, non-personalized, or limited ads. Where consent is required, advertising choices are presented through the consent mechanism configured for the site. You can also control cookies through your browser and review Google's information about how Google uses information from sites that use its services and advertising technologies.

How Information Is Used

• Provide the tool or export you request.
• Operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the website and its processing services.
• Prevent abuse and enforce technical limits.
• Verify the site for advertising and, if approved, deliver and measure ads.
• Respond to questions, corrections, privacy requests, or support messages.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect users, the service, and third parties.

Service Providers and Disclosure

Information is shared only as needed for the workflow you choose, normal website operation, advertising, security, support, or legal compliance. Relevant recipients may include Cloudflare, configured OCR infrastructure, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, the restricted redactor service, Google AdSense and its advertising partners, model or runtime hosting services, and the email or form provider you use to contact us.

These organizations process information under their own terms and privacy policies. imgtotable does not sell uploaded images or recognition results. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the service and its users.

Retention

imgtotable does not intentionally persist uploaded images or recognition results in an application database. Recognition and translation API responses are marked not to be cached by shared HTTP caches. Results may remain in your browser memory until you replace the input, refresh the page, or close the tab, and downloaded files remain wherever you save them.

Hosting, security, advertising, email, contact-form, and AI providers may retain request metadata or submitted content according to their own configurations, legal obligations, and policies. imgtotable does not claim that every provider keeps no logs. Browser model caches and theme preferences remain on your device until you clear the relevant site data.

Security

imgtotable uses HTTPS for network transmission, validates supported image types and size limits on recognition endpoints, rejects server-side remote image fetching, and marks responses containing user-derived OCR or translation data as non-cacheable where implemented. No internet service or transmission method is completely secure, so these controls cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

• Use a browser-local tool when you do not want the source image sent to an application recognition API.
• Do not submit a file, email, or contact form if you do not want the described providers to process it.
• Clear local storage, cookies, and cached model assets using your browser settings.
• Use the available consent message or browser controls to manage advertising storage and personalization.
• Contact imgtotable to ask about personal information you submitted directly or to request correction or deletion where applicable.

Children's Privacy

imgtotable is a general-audience productivity service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to provide personal information. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the site, contact us so the report can be reviewed.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when the tools, providers, advertising configuration, or legal requirements change. A new date will be shown at the top when a material revision is published.
